Young Adult
Neurodiversity Screening
Sixteen and seventeen are extraordinary ages to be navigating. Exams. Results. Decisions about what comes next. New social environments. Greater expectations. Less structure. And for young people whose brains work differently — all of that happening without the language, the understanding, or the support that would make it manageable.
Many young people at this age have spent their whole school lives developing strategies to cope, working harder than everyone else to achieve the same results, watching social situations carefully and mimicking what they see, holding everything together in public and falling apart in private. Some have been told they are bright but lazy. Some have been told they are anxious. Some have simply been quietly struggling while everyone around them assumed they were fine. If any of that sounds familiar, whether you are a young person reading this yourself, or a parent reading it on behalf of your child, NeuroVerify's young adult pathway is designed for exactly this moment.
Who Is Young Adult Screening For?
Our young adult pathway is designed for individuals aged 16 and 17 who:
- Suspect they may have ADHD, autism, or both
- Are struggling with the demands of sixth form, college, or early work in ways that feel disproportionate to their ability
- Find social situations exhausting, confusing, or require significant effort to navigate
- Have been told they have anxiety but feel something has been missed
- Are finding the transition from school structure to greater independence particularly difficult
- Have a family member with ADHD or autism and recognise similar experiences in themselves
- Were assessed in childhood and found not to meet criteria, but continue to struggle
- Are experiencing burnout — exhaustion from years of effort to appear neurotypical — without understanding why
For Parents | What To Expect
We understand that seeking screening for your child is a significant decision. Here is what the process looks like from a parent's perspective:
You begin by selecting the young adult pathway and completing registration. You will be asked to provide your details and your child's details and to confirm consent for screening. We will send you a consent document to review and sign before your child's screening access is activated.
Your child completes the screening independently. They are the expert on their own experience and their responses are their own. You will not see their individual screening answers, you will see the interpreted results report, which is shared with both the young person and their parent or guardian.

Purchase Now And Change Your Life
If you have read this far and you are sitting with a question about yourself, or about someone you love, we want to say this directly:
Your experience is real. The difficulty you have felt is real. The exhaustion of performing neurotypicality in a world that was not designed for you is real. And the question you are carrying, however long you have been carrying it, deserves a proper answer.
You do not have to have certainty before you start. You do not have to have a clear idea of what you are looking for. You just have to be willing to find out.
